Welcome to The Crooked Rook Tattoo.
A multi award winning private tattoo studio.
Our aim is simple: to create beautiful custom tattoos.
We work in a comfortable and relaxed space in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Ideal for enthusiasts and first time clients alike, The Crooked Rook is a private studio. This is a different approach to tattooing that offers a more creative environment with fewer distractions for a more personal experience.
The Crooked Rook was opened in 2016. With excellent custom tattooing from the areas finest tattoo artists and an emphasis on customer service and hygiene, it’s easy to see why we are regarded as Hertfordshires premier studio and so highly respected in the tattoo industry.
We continue to maintain and improve our high standards of tattooing which makes us very busy. We can only offer pre-booked appointments and do not offer a walk in service for tattoos. If you would like a tattoo please do not hesitate to contact one of the artists we have available to discuss your ideas.

The studio is accessed via Hammer Lane, it can be quite difficult to find at first.
We have a blue double door with two crooked rook chess piece logos.
If you are struggling to find us then ring us on 07989152413 and we will come and find you and let you in.
Free parking is always available in The Queens Square car park.
